Located in a former pedestrian tunnel beneath the Weena in Rotterdam’s central business district, Toffler is internationally known for its unique hydraulic club system, a world premiere specifically designed for the venue. The DJ booth, lighting, and sound system have the remarkable ability to move back and forth throughout the night, allowing the club to physically expand as the crowd grows. Early in the evening, the venue maintains an intimate setting, while later transforming into a larger high-energy space without visitors even noticing the movement, due to the system’s subtle and slow operation. This innovative concept has been part of the club since day one and remains one of Toffler’s most distinctive features.

What began in 2015 as a small festival, four years after the opening of the nightclub, has since grown into an established name within Rotterdam’s electronic music culture. With the launch of Toffler Festival, Toffler became the only nightclub in Rotterdam to host a festival featuring the same carefully curated house and techno programming as the club itself.

Since its introduction in 2016, Toffler Indoor Festival has become an essential part of the Toffler experience, bringing the energy and atmosphere of festival season indoors. Staying true to the signature sound of Toffler, the indoor edition combines carefully curated house and techno line-ups with immersive production, transforming industrial spaces into unique electronic music experiences.

Building on the foundation of Toffler Festival, Toffler Indoor Festival has continued to evolve into a standout event within Rotterdam’s electronic music scene.
